Lily had the best time helping me roll out the gingerbread dough and using the cookie cutters to make the gingerbread men. "Look mom, I did it!" She was so proud when she would press down hard enough to make a perfect little gingerbread man.
We also make sugar cookies with all of our Christmas cookie cutter shapes. We had snowmen, angels, candy canes, Christmas trees...it was a lot of fun. We made so many cookies that they lasted well after Christmas but it sure was fun baking them with my kids.
Of course, the entire time we were listening to Christmas music and sneaking some of the yummy cookie dough. This is one of my favorite parts of our Christmas tradition.Logan was so excited to put out the cookies and milk for Santa before he headed up to bed Christmas Eve. He was proud that we had made them especially for Santa and that they tasted so good!
