I don't know what the actual name of this park is but because of the bright, vibrant playground equipment my kiddos have nicknamed it "Rainbow Park." It is located in Rockford right on the Crow River.
I love this park! It is nestled under 100 year old Oak Trees and has a huge playground. There are plenty of picnic tables and seating for parents and there is also a beautiful old white Gazebo that can be used for a picnic pavilion.
The kids love to go here because there is a little fishing dock right on the river and of course the playground is huge! We spent at least an hour here playing. I brought our snack and me and the kids ate at one of the picnic tables near the playground. It was a hot day and it was so nice to be able to relax under the shade.
Logan and Lily were climbing all over the place. They loved the pink twisty slide and all of the monkey bars, ladders bridges and slides. This park is a little bit more advanced and really is for kids ages 3 and up. Lily had a harder time keeping up with Logan but she did it!
Rainbow Park is only about 15 minutes from our house and is a great little field trip.
