Dying Eggs - Easter Fun Part 2

On Good Friday, the kiddos and I decided to dye Easter eggs. Logan remembered doing it from last year and was so excited to do it again this year. Lily is still a little too young to understand the concept and she kept trying to dump the colored water out.

Logan did really well dipping the eggs in the dye, letting them sit and then scooping them out with the spoon. He also helped me put egg wrappers on some of them and really enjoyed watching it happen. Every time an egg came out of the dye he would exclaim "look mama, it's beautiful!" I had so much fun doing this with him this year.

Lily wanted to participate but she didn't understand what was going on so her participation pretty much included trying to dump out the cups of dye and holding the Easter eggs and cracking them together. Oh well, so there were some cracked eggs in the bunch, it didn't bother them at all while they were hunting for them!


Mike is eating a lot of egg salad sandwiches this week but he can't complain because he got the recipe off of "The Splendid Table" it is actually really good.
